Abstract
Ibu hamil merupakan salah satu kelompok yang rentan akan penyakit gigi dan mulut. Perubahan hormonal mempengaruhi rongga mulut pada ibu hamil antara lain meningkatnya resiko karies gigi, gingivitis dan penyakit periodontal. Pada masa kehamilan, rasa sakit disebabkan karies gigi ini membuat wanita hamil tidak maumakan. Kondisi ini mengakibatkan bayi lahir dengan berat badan rendah (BBLR) akibat kekurangan nutrisi. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka karies ibu hamil di Puskesmas Ngawi pada tahun 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya gambaran pengetahuan ibu hami hamil tentang karies gigi di Puskesmas Ngawi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif degan sasaran penelitan ibu hamil sebanyak 25 ibu hamil.Metode pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan nilai rata-rata (mean). Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan ibu hamil di Puskesmas Ngawi termasuk dalam kategori sedang
