Abstract

Family planning is one of the governmen t's efforts to achieve family welfare. Problems that often occur are PUS not planning well when to have children, how many chil dren they want, and future plans related to the chil d's future. This lack of planning has resulted in many families having many children even though their economic conditions are inadequate. One of the reasons is the lack of knowledge of PUS on family pl anning. Health Education (Health Education) is one of the promotional efforts to improve the degree of public health. The success of changing people's attitudes also depends on the surrounding environment and the information obtained. The method used was i n the form of counseling and discussions with WUS an d cadres about the family planning program, especially the MKJP family planning method. The targets are WUS and cadres in the Kedungdoro health center area and the puskesmas dr. Soetomo Surabaya with a total of 60 participants. Measurement of chan ges in target knowledge using pre and post tests. The results showed that there was an increase in knowl edge in the target group of the Kedungdoro Public Health Center with an average score of 70 to 88, as we ll as the target group of the Puskesmas dr. Sutomo has increased the average value from 68 to 84. With this activity, it can be a stimulant for cadres and the community to share i nformation about KB MKJP so that KB MKJP acceptor users can increase and WUS ca n adjust their pregnancy distance so that a healthy generation can be achieved.
