Abstract

Health is an investment to support economic development and has an important role in poverty reduction efforts. The indicator used to describe the access of pregnant women to antenatal care is the coverage of K1 - first contact and K4 - 4 times contact with competent health workers according to standards. However, until now there are still many pregnant women who do not have their pregnancy checks according to standards. The aim of this Community Service is to increase maternal knowledge about pregnancy and antenatal care standards and to increase the number of K1 achievements. The target of this activity is for pregnant women in the first trimester and their families. Method, this Community Service Activity was carried out 3 times, with 2 counseling times and 1 pregnancy checkup assistance. Results There was an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women about pregnancy and antenatal care and there was an increase in the number of K1 visits by 50%. Suggestion this step is expected to be a stimulator, which in turn will be able to increase the achievement of a minimum standard of antenatal care visits which in turn will have an impact on achieving a good degree of health for both mother and baby
