Abstract
Anak usia sekolah berperan penting dalam mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Diketahui bahwa angka DMF-T siswa kelas VII berjumlah 23 siswa di SMP Wachid Hasyim 5 Surabaya rata-rata = 3,1 dengan katagori (tinggi). Maka masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka DMF-T pada siswa kelas VII SMP Wachid Hasjim 5 Surabaya. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya pengetahuan tentang menyikat gigi yang baik dan benar pada siswa SMP Wachid Hasyim 5 Surabaya Tahun 2020. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan sasaran penelitian 76 responden. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner. Teknik analisa data yaitu Hasil data kuisoner yang diperoleh akan dijumlahkan lalu di presentase dari hasil keseluruhan dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan tentang menyikat gigi yang baik dan benar pada siswa SMP Wachid Hasjim 5 Surabaya Tahun 2020 termasuk dalam katagori kurang.
