Abstract
Masalah penelitian ini adalah banyaknya kasus dry socket setelah pencabutan gigi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan efektivitas daya bunuh ekstrak temulawak terhadap Streptococcus viridans penyebab infeksi dry socket. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Experimental laboratories Metode pengumpulan data adalah observasi serial ekstrak. Teknik analisis dengan cara mengamati bahan coba pada media dengan berbagai konsentrasi yang ditetapkan sebagai KBM serta analisis pengaruh tingkat konsentrasi ekstrak temulawak terhadap pertumbuhan koloni Streptococcus viridans dengan cara menggunakan uji statistik Regresi Linier Sederhana. Dilanjutkan uji hubungan linearitas antara variabel konsentrasi temulawak dengan variabel koloni Streptococcus viridans. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ekstrak temulawak efektif sebagai KBM terhadap bakteri Streptococcus viridans pada konsentrasi 75% dan ekstrak temulawak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan jumlah koloni bakteri Streptococcus viridans sebesar 61,6%.
