Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengelolaan sampah di TPS 3R Parang Indah meliputi kegiatan pengangkutan dari sumber, pemilahan dan pengolahan secara 3R (reduce, reuse dan recycle). Berdasarkan survey pendahuluan ditemukan timbulan sampah tidak dipilah secara maksimal sehingga dilakukan pembarakan terbuka.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kapasitas TPS 3R Parang Indah dan pengelolaan sampah secara 3R. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel composite sample dan menggunakan metode load count analysis untuk pengukuran timbulan sampah selama delapa hari berturut-turut di TPS 3R Parang Indah Kelurahan Parang. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan timbulan sampah 2.002,419 kg/hari dengan rata-rata volume 16,63 m3. Reduce sebanyak 34%, reuse 28%, recycle 0% dikarenakan belum ada proses daur ulang dan residu 8%. Kapasitas TPS 3R yaitu 50%. Kesimpulannya kapasitas TPS 3R Parang sudah mencukupi untuk menimbun sampah yang terlayani. Disarankan untuk pelaksanaan pengelolaan sampah perlu adanya pengolahan sampah secara daur ulang karena sampah yang dihasilkan 50% adalah sampah organik sehingga tidak menimbulkan pembakaran sampah terbuka serta perlu menerapkan pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui bank sampah untuk mengurangi timbulan sampah dari sumbernya. Based on a preliminary survey, it was found that waste generation has not been maximally sorted so that open burning is carried out. This study aims to determine the capacity of Parang Indah 3R waste processing place and 3R waste management. This type of research is descriptive with a composite sampling technique and using the load count analysis method to measure waste generation for eight consecutive days at Parang Indah 3R waste management sub-village Parang. The results of this study obtained waste generation of 2,002.419 kg / day with an average volume of 16.63 m3. In conclusion, the capacity of Parang 3R waste management is sufficient to collect the waste served.
