Abstract
Latar Belakang : Jaringan periodontal merupakan jaringan yang mengelilingi gigi dan berfungsi sebagai penyangga gigi, perilaku merokok merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya masalah kesehatan pada jaringan periodontal, seperti gingivitis, periodontitis. Berdasarkan data dari Riskesdas penyakit periodontal merupakan masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang memiliki prevalensi cukup tinggi di masyarakat sebesar 95,58%. Tujuan : untuk mengetahui macam-macam penyakit pada jaringan periodontal yang disebabkan oleh kebiasaan merokok pada masyarakat di Indonesia. Metode : Systematic Literature Review, sumber data : pencarian artikel diperoleh dari database Google Scholar, PubMed, Garuda Jurnal. Hasil : dari hasil 10 literature review artikel diketahui terdapat beberapa penyakit pada jaringan periodontal yang disebabkan kebiasaan merokok seperti gingivitis, periodontitis.
