Abstract

Introduction: Data from the Health Research National on nutrition outcomes Studies Diet Total in 2014 showed that in both urban and rural, > 50% of pregnant women get energy intake are less than the 70% figure is Adequacy of Energy and only 14% of the level of adequacy enough energy, as well as protein Adequacy Score, 49.6% of pregnant women in urban areas and 55.6% in rural areas get ≤80% protein intake protein Adequacy Score, so the need to find solutions to overcome these problems. The research of Moringa leaves in animals have been conducted the effect of increasing the weight of male rats were malnutrition, improve the physical condition of the protein-energy malnutrition to lead to a state of normal physical, increase the levels of antioxidants superoxide dismutase (SOD) in rat brain, was able to improve memory function in conditions of protein-energy malnutrition. The purpose of this study is obtain optimal formulations extract of the leaves of Moringa to repair protein profiles (electrophoresis), histopathological tissue and hedonic test the product on the condition of pregnant mice with malnourished. Methods: The research is randomized pre test post test control group design and this study used 28 pregnant mice malnutrition, divided into 7 groups with 4 mice/group. In the treatment group were given Moringa leaf extract at a dose of 720; 850 and 1000 mg / day for 19-21 days gestation. The parameters analyzed were protein electrophoresis, and the number of fetal weight, histopathology of kidney and liver and hedonic test products of moringa leaf. Results : If the study is completed, the output research are produced herbal formula of Moringa leaf extract that is best for pregnant women with malnutrition, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and the international publication.
