Abstract
ABSTRAK Kebutuhan bahan baku (kedelai) dan kebutuhan air yang dibutuhkan untuk produksi sangat menentukan jumlah limbah yang dihasilkan, semakin banyak jumlah bahan baku dan kebutuhan air bersih untuk produksi semakin banyak limbah yang dihasilkan. Tindakan masyarakat yang memfungsikan sungai sebagai tempat pembuangan limbah cair dapat menimbulkan pengotoran sungai sehingga akan menurunkan daya dukung lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisa pengaruh kebutuhan bahan baku dan kebutuhan air bersih terhadap kadar BOD limbah cair Industri Tahu di Wilayah Kabupaten Nganjuk tahun 2023. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah observasional, yaitu penelitian yang melakukan pengamatan (observasi) lapangan pada subjek penelitian dengan gambaran kuantitatif. Pada penelitian ini, menggunakan desain penelitian cross secsional, yaitu dimana variabel penelitian diukur dalam waktu yang sama. Kesimpulan yang didapat pada penelitian ini ialah pengaruh kebutuhan bahan baku (kedelai) terhadap kadar BOD sebesar 91,5%. Sedangkan pengaruh kebutuhan air bersih terhadap kadar BOD sebesar 93,8%. Diharapkan untuk industri tahu di Kabupaten Nganjuk membangun Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) agar limbah cair yang dihasilkan tidak langsung dibuang ke badan air yang dapat memengaruhi kualitas air bersih. Kata Kunci : Bahan baku (kedelai), air bersih, indutri tahu, BOD ABSTRACT The need for raw materials (soybeans) and the water needed for production greatly determine the amount of waste produced, the more raw materials and clean water needed for production, the more waste is produced. Community actions that use rivers as a place to dispose of liquid waste can cause river pollution which will reduce the carrying capacity of the environment. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the need for raw materials and the need for clean water on the BOD levels of liquid waste from the Tofu Industri in the Nganjuk Regency area in 2023. This type of research is observational, namely research that carries out field observations on research subjects using quantitative figures. In this study, a cross sectional research design was used, namely where the research variables were measured at the same time. The conclusion obtained in this research is that the influence of raw material requirements (soybeans) on BOD levels is 91.5%. Meanwhile, the effect of clean water requirements on BOD levels is 93.8%. It is hoped that the tofu industri in Nganjuk Regency will build a Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL) so that the liquid waste produced is not directly discharged into water bodies which can affect the quality of clean water.
