Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan tingginya kadar amonia pada outlet limbah cair RS Bhakti Persada yang jika dibuang ke badan air akan mengganggu kehidupan dan ekosistem perairan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur penurunan kadar amonia dengan variasi waktu aerasi 2 jam, 4 jam, dan 6 jam pada limbah cair RS Bhakti Persada. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Data yang didapatkan berasal dari hasil pemeriksaan kadar amonia oleh laboratorium kimia. Pada penelitian ini akan ada 3 bak tanpa dilakukan aerasi dan 3 bak treatment yang berupa aerasi menggunakan blower udara, dari ke-3 bak treatment tersebut akan diberi waktu kontak selama 2 jam, 4 jam, dan 6 jam yang kemudian akan diambil sampel untuk diperiksakan ke laboratorium. Hasil dari penelitian penurunan kadar amonia dengan variasi waktu aerasi 2 jam rata-ratanya 0,758 mg/l tidak terjadi penurunan dan tidak signifikan. Untuk variasi waktu aerasi 4 jam rata-ratanya 0,746 mg/l terjadi penurunan namun tidak signifikan dengan efisiensi 3,610%. Pada variasi waktu aerasi 6 jam rata-ratanya 0,732 mg/l dengan efisiensi 5,400%, menurut uji paired sig 2-tailed (0,000) < α (0,050) maka terjadi penurunan kadar amonia yang signifikan. Disarankan pada penelitian selanjutnya untuk menambah waktu aerasi dan menambahkan treatment lain. Kata kunci: Amonia, waktu aerasi, penurunan. EFFICIENCY OF REDUCING AMONIA (NH3) LEVELS USING THE BUBBLE AERATOR METHOD WITH VARIATIONS IN AERATION TIME IN LIQUID WASTE OF BHAKTI PERSADA HOSPITAL, BARAT DISTRICT, MAGETAN DISTRICT Syifa Afifah Pawestri1, Hery Koesmantoro2, Karno3, Sri Poerwati4 MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA POLTEKKES KEMENKES SURABAYA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SANITATION PROGRAM D-III MAGETAN CAMPUS Email: syifapawestri1@gmail.com ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the problem of high levels of ammonia at the liquid waste outlet of Bhakti Persada Hospital which, if discharged into water bodies, would disrupt aquatic life and ecosystems. The aim of this research was to measure the reduction in ammonia levels with variations in aeration time of 2 hours, 4 hours and 6 hours in Bhakti Persada Hospital liquid waste. The method in this research is quantitative. The data obtained comes from the results of checking ammonia levels by a chemistry laboratory. In this research there will be 3 treatment tanks without aeration and 3 treatment tanks which include aeration using an air blower. From these 3 treatment tanks, contact time will be given for 2 hours, 4 hours and 6 hours and then samples will be taken for examination. laboratory. The results of the research on reducing ammonia levels with variations in aeration time of 2 hours averaged 0,758 mg/l, there was no decrease and it was not significant. For variations in aeration time of 4 hours, the average decrease was 0,746 mg/l, but it was not significant with an efficiency of 3,610%. At a variation of aeration time of 6 hours the average was 0,732 mg/l with an efficiency of 5,400%, according to the paired sig 2-tailed (0.00) < α (0.05) test, there was a significant decrease in ammonia levels. It is recommended that in future research increase the aeration time and add other treatments. Key words: Ammonia, aeration time, reduction.
