Abstract
ABSTRAK Sanitasi sekolah merupakan elemen penting dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan kesehatan siswa. Ketersediaan fasilitas sanitasi yang memadai dapat meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan dan kesejahteraan siswa serta berpotensi meningkatkan partisipasi sekolah. Namun, masih banyak sekolah dasar di Indonesia yang belum memiliki akses terhadap fasilitas sanitasi yang layak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak fasilitas sanitasi dasar terhadap ketidakhadiran siswa sakit di Sekolah Dasar di Desa Mategal dan Desa Trosono Kecamatan Parang Kabupaten Magetan Tahun 2024. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif observasional dan populasi sampel merupakan sekolah dasar negeri di wilayah desa Mategal dan Trosono kecamatan Paranag. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi dan kuesioner. Form observasi digunakan untuk menilai kondisi fasilitas sanitasi dasar berdasarkan Kepmenkes No. 1429 tahun 2006. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data ketidakhadiran siswa akibat penyakit berbasis lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga dari empat sekolah yang diteliti memiliki sarana penyediaan air bersih yang memenuhi syarat, kecuali SD Negeri Trosono 2 yang memiliki kualitas air buruk. Fasilitas jamban di SD Negeri Trosono 1 dinilai tidak memenuhi syarat, sedangkan SD lainnya umumnya memenuhi syarat dengan beberapa perbaikan yang diperlukan. Influenza menjadi penyebab utama ketidakhadiran siswa, dengan SD Negeri Mategal 1 menunjukkan persentase terendah ketidakhadiran (57%). Secara keseluruhan, 24% ketidakhadiran siswa disebabkan oleh PBL, dengan influenza menyumbang 82% dan diare 12%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah fasilitas sanitasi yang tidak memenuhi syarat di sekolah dasar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat ketidakhadiran siswa akibat penyakit berbasis lingkungan. Perbaikan fasilitas sanitasi dasar sangat diperlukan untuk mengurangi ketidakhadiran siswa dan meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan di sekolah. The availability of adequate sanitation facilities can improve the quality of students' health and welfare and has the potential to increase school participation. However, there are still many elementary schools in Indonesia that do not have access to proper sanitation facilities. This research aims to examine the impact of basic sanitation facilities on the absence of sick students at elementary schools in Mategal Village and Trosono Village, Parang District, Magetan Regency in 2024. This type of research uses descriptive observational research and the sample population is state elementary schools in the Mategal and Trosono village areas, Paranag subdistrict. This research uses observation and questionnaire methods. This form of observation is used to assess the condition of basic sanitation facilities based on Minister of Health Decree No. 1429 of 2006. Questionnaires were used to collect data on student absences due to environmental-based illnesses. The results of the research show that three of the four schools studied have clean water supply facilities that meet the requirements, except SD Negeri Trosono 2 which has poor water quality. The latrine facilities at SD Negeri Trosono 1 are considered not to meet the requirements, while other elementary schools generally meet the requirements with some necessary improvements. Influenza is the main cause of student absences, with SD Negeri Mategal 1 showing the lowest percentage of absences (57%). Overall, 24% of student absences were due to PBL, with influenza accounting for 82% and diarrhea 12%. The conclusion of this research is that sanitation facilities that do not meet the requirements in elementary schools have a significant effect on the level of student absenteeism due to environmental-based diseases. Improving basic sanitation facilities is very necessary to reduce student absenteeism and improve the quality of health in schools.
