Abstract
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada anggota Militer di Puslatpur Marinir 5 Baluran Tahun 2019. Berdasarkan latar belakang dan masalah yang timbul maka penyebab masalahnya dapat dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor yaitu faktor pasien (pengetahuan, sikap, sosial ekonomi), dan faktor petugas kesehatan (promosi kesehatan dan waktu). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan tentang pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut serta cara menyikat gigi, frekwensi atau waktu menyikat gigi, dan akibat tidak memelihara kebesihan gigi dan mulut pada anggota Militer di Puslatpur Marinir 5 Baluran Tahun 2019. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, jumlah sasaran sebanyak 37 Personil. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Teknis analisa data hasil kuesioner dijumlah, dirata-rata kemudian dipersentase dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa pengetahuan Personil tentang pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut dalam kategori kurang.
