Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya persentase mahasiswa yang melakukan sterilisasi handpiece sesuai prosedur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya hubungan pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang sterilisasi handpiece dengan kepatuhan pada prosedur sterilisasi handpiece. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik cross sectional. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Keperawatan Gigi Surabaya dengan jumlah 43 mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan lembar kuisioner dan lembar observasi. Teknik Analisa data yang digunakan adalah koefiensi kontingensi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh p Value = 0,667 yang artinya lebih besar dari nilai tingkat signifikan (α) yang ditetapkan yaitu 0,05 (0,667 > 0,05). Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa tidak ada hubungan pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang sterilisasi handpiece dengan kepatuhan pada prosedur sterilisasi handpiece.
