Abstract
Background: The aim of the research was to prove that the community empowerment model based on the health belief model and the theory of planned behavior has an effect on stunting prevention. Methodology: The study used cross-sectional approach. This research was carried out from April 2022 to August 2022 with research locations in the Plaosan, Panekan and Sidorejo Public Health Centers, Magetan Regency. Population of this study as much as 4546 cadres, and the sample of 400 people. Exogenous variables were modifying factors: age, religion, education, occupation, length of time being a cadre. Trends in stunting prevention. The endogenous variable is the health belief model which includes: perception of stunting, stunting threat, benefits and disadvantages, action cues/promoters for stunting prevention, individual behavior. The theory of planned behavior includes attitudes, intentions, subjective norms, social norms, strengths, control of stunting prevention behavior. SEM Smart PLS data analysis Results: There is a direct effect of the health belief model on the theory of planned behavior. There was no direct effect of modifying factors on the health belief model and theory of planned behavior. All modifying factors indicators are invalid. While the health belief model and theory of planned behavior, all indicators are valid. Conclusion: community empowerment model based on health belief model and theory of planned behavior can be used to increase family empowerment in stunting preventing behavior.
