Abstract
Merokok sudah menjadi salah satu kebiasaan umum yang cenderung dimiliki oleh sebagian besar remaja di Indonesia tahun 2018 mencapai 19,6% dan persebaran di Jawa Timur 12,7% dapat menghabiskan 13 batang rokok setiap harinya. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh kurangnya kepercayaan diri pada remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kepercayaan diri pada remaja perokok di SMK Kesehatan Surabaya Kelas 11. Variabel yang diteliti yaitu kepercayaan diri pada remaja perokok. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 remaja laki-laki yang merokok di SMK Kesehatan Surabaya Kelas 11. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner. Data dianalisa secara deskriptif dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan distribusi kepercayaan diri remaja perokok menunjukkan bahwa 25 orang (83,33%) memiliki kepercayaan diri baik dan 5 orang (16,67%) memiliki kepercayaan diri kurang. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan yaitu sebagian besar dari jumlah remaja perokok di SMK Kesehatan Surabaya Kelas 11 menunjukkan kepercayaan diri cukup, sebagian kecil menunjukkan kepercayaan diri kurang, dan sangat sedikit menunjukkan kepercayaan diri baik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan remaja supaya dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dengan melakukan hal- hal positif seperti menggali lebih dalam potensi yang ada pada diri dan selalu menghargai pencapaian kecil yang telah terjadi tidak dengan merokok karena rokok dapat membahayakan kesehatan organ tubuh remaja
