Abstract
Toxocariasis merupakan salah satu penyakit kecacingan yang sering menyerang kucing yang disebabkan oleh cacing Toxocara cati, bersifat zoonosis serta dapat menyebabkan larva migran pada manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menghitung jumlah prevalensi telur cacing Toxocara cati pada feses kucing liar domestik. Penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan analisa kualitatif terhadap 30 ekor kucing liar domestik dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara random sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Parasitologi Jurusan Teknologi Laboratorium Medis Politeknik Kesehatan Kementrian Kesehatan Surabaya pada bulan Januari 2023 sampai Mei 2023. Metode untuk identifikasi telur cacing Toxocara cati menggunakan flotasi (pengapungan). Hasil identifikasi didapatkan 8 sampel positif terinfeksi telur cacing Toxocara cati dengan prevalensi sebesar 27%, selanjutnya terdapat 22 sampel negatif telur cacing Toxocara cati dengan prevalensi sebesar 73%.
