Abstract
Masalah : Masalah penelitian ini adalah tingginya karies dengan presentase sebesar 69% dengan kriteria tinggi di Posyandu Melati 6 Kraton Kecamatan Maospati Kabupaten Magetan tahun 2021. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan ibu. Tujuan : Diketahuinya pengetahuan ibu tentang karies pada anak balita di Posyandu Melati 6 Kraton Kecamatan Maospati Kabupaten Magetan tahun 2021. Metode : jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Sasaran dalam penelitian ini adalah 36 ibu balita di Posyandu Melati 6 Kraton Kecamatan Maospati Kabupaten Magetan. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui kuisioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakaan dalam penelitian adalah menghitung rata-rata jawaban benar bedasarkan sekoring setiap jawaban dari responden. Jumlah seluruh jawaban yang diperoleh dari responden dihitung dalam presentase dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil : hasil yang diperoleh adalah pengetahuan ibu tentang pengertian karies gigi dan penyebab karies gigi dalam kategori cukup. pengetahuan ibu tentang pencegahan karies gigi dalam kategori kurang. pengetahuan ibu tentang akibat karies gigi dan perawatan karies gigi dalam kategori cukup. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan ibu balita di Posyandu Melati 6 Kraton Kecamatan Maospati Kabupaten Magetan tentang karies gigi termasuk dalam kategori cukup.
