Abstract
Hasil pemeriksaan gigi dan mulut Siswa kelas I SDN Bubakan I Kecamatan Tulakan Kab. Pacitan Tahun 2019,didapatkan angka kerusakan gigi (def-t) 4,7 dengan kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur gambaran pengetahuan tentang karies pada orang tua siswa kelas I SDN Bubakan I. Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif dengan sasaran penelitian Orang tua siswa kelas I yang berjumlah 37 orang. Metode pengumpulan datanya dengan kiuisener yang dibagikan ke responden kemudian dikumpulkan kembali untuk dibuat tabel dan dianalisis, dalam bentuk persen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengetahuan Orang tua siswa tentang karies didapatkan hasil yang baik. Hal ini berlawanan dengan kondisi status karies gigi putra putrinya yang tinggi. Dari hasil diatas sebagai Orang tua yang berpengetahuan baik harus mendidik, mendorong sekaligus menjadi panutan bagi putra putrinya dalam menjaga kesehatan gigi. Serta peran tenaga kesehatan dalam memberikan penyuluhan kepada orang tua dan anak-anak sekolah
