Abstract

Defibrillator adalah piranti elektronik yang mengalirkan sinyal listrik kejut (pulsa) ke otot jantung untuk mempertahankan depolarisasi myocardial yang sedang mengalami fibrillasi kardiak (ventricular fibrillation atau atrial fibrillation). (Bronzino,2000).ada beberapa syarat yang harus dipenuhi untuk terjadinya proses shock diantaranya waktu shock, energi yang akan diberikan, keamanan pasien dan operator. Pada defibrillator ini penggunaan selektor/pemilihan energi secara linear yaitu pada range 1-30 Joule dengan pengunaan alat pada 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 Joule.energi tersebut kemudian akan dibuang atau diberikan ke pasien melalui paddle saat ditekan tombol Discharge/shock.Hasil sinyal yang diberikan ke pasien yaitu monophasic. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pre-eksperimental dengan desain penelitian One Group post test design. Pengukuran dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali Volt meter pada test point yang telah ditentukan oleh penyusun.
