Abstract
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka karies pada siswa SDN Medokan Semampir Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peranan dan motivasi guru dalam UKGS terhadap upaya menurunkan angka karies pada siswa SDN Medokan Semampir I Surabaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Deskriptif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalahguru SDN Medokan Semampir Surabaya sejumlah 18 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah mengumpulkan data hasil kuesioner kemudian data ditabulasi di sajikan dan di presentasikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak semua peranan guru dalam UKGS dilakukan. Disarankan untuk guru di SDN Medokan Semampir Surabaya lebih meningkatkan peranannya dalam UKGS
