Abstract
Pada bulan November tahun 2012 telah dilakukan penelitian kebersihan gigi pada siswa kelas VI-A SD An Najiyah Surabaya Dari pemeriksaan didapatkan hasil OHI-S dengan nilai 3,39 dalam kategori jelek. Jika dibandingkan dengan indikator kebersihan gigi dan mulut hasilnya kurang dari standar indikator, sedang indikator OHI-S adalah kategori baik (0-1,2), sedang (1,3-3,0), jelek (3,1-6,0).Masalah yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya status kebersihan gigi dan mulut siswa kelas VI-A SD An Najiyah Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya pengetahuan tentang pemeliharaan kebersihan Gigi dan mulut pada siswa kelas VI-A SD An Najiyah Surabaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI-A SD An Najiyah Surabaya sejumlah 38 siswa.Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar kuisioner. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pengetahuan tentang pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada siswa kelas VI-A SD An Najiyah Surabaya masuk dalam kategori cukup
