Abstract
Pemeriksaan gigi siswa kelas V SD Wahid Hasyim II Menur Surabaya, diperoleh nilai OHI-S rata-rata 3,2, yang menunjukkan bahwa kebersihan gigi dan mulut siswa masih kurang. Masalah yang muncul adalah rendahnya status kebersihan gigi dan mulut siswa kelasV SD Wahid Hasyim II Menur Surabaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya diketahuinya gambaran pengetahuan tentang jenis makanan yang berpengaruh terhadap kebersihan gigi dan mulut siswa kelas V SD Wahid Hasyim II Menur Surabaya tahun 2010. Jenis penelitian ini adalah diskriptif dengan populasi yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dan data yang diperoleh dari kuesioner diolah dengan cara tabulasi. Setelah dilakukan penelitian pada siswa SD Wahid Hasyim II Menur Surabaya, ternyata diketahui bahwa tingkat pengetahuan siswa tentang jenis makanan yang berpengaruh terhadap kebersihan gigi dan mulut yaitu baik
