Abstract
Masalah yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah dari hasil survey yang dilaksanakan tanggal 23 januari 2010, terhadap 80 orang Lansia yang bertempat tinggal di Panti Surya Surabaya dengan usia antara 60-80 tahun diperoleh data pengguna gigi palsu sejumlah 26 yaitu sebagai berikut pengguna gigi palsu full prothesa berjumlah 14 orang sedangkan 12 orang Lansia lainya pengguna gigi palsu sebagian atau partial prothesa sedangkan 51 orang lainya disarankan untuk menggunakan gigi palsu baik gigi palsu sebagian atau gigi palsu lengkap, Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan pengguna gigi palsu pada kelompok lansia yang bertempat tinggal di Panti Surya Surabaya tahun 2010, metode penelitian yang di gunakan oleh peneliti adalah deskriptif, dan hasil yang di peroleh dapat disimpulkan pengetahuan lansia tentang fungsi gigi palsu dalam kategori sedang, pengetahuan lansia tentang frekuensi dan cara membersihkan gigi palsu dalam kategori jelek, pengetahuan lansia tentang manfaat pemeliharaan gigi palsu dalam kategori jelek, pengetahuan lansia tentang akibat jika gigi palsu tidak dipelihara dengan baik dalam kategori sedang.
