Abstract
Karies gigi adalah penyakit jaringan gigi yang ditandai dengan kerusakan jaringan, dimulai darai permukaan gigi lalu meluas kearah pulpa. Agar ibu hamil tergerak hatinya untuk menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulutnya, maka ibu hamil memerlukan motivasi. Motivasi adalah kekuatan, baik dari dalam maupun dari luar yang mendorong seseorang untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Masalah penelitian ini tingginya angka persentase karies gigi ibu hamil di Puskesmas Ngumpakdalem Kecamatan Dander Bojonegoro yaitu sebesar 60,94% dari target bebas karies 54,6%. Tujuan penelitian ini diketahuinya motivasi ibu hamil tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut di Puskesmas Ngumpakdalem Kecamatan Dander Bojonegoro. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif. Sasaran yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 orang ibu hamil yang berusia 20-30 tahun. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi ibu hamil tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut di Puskesmas Ngumpakdalem Kecamatan Dander Bojonegoro tahun 2020 dalam kategori kuat. Kesimpulannya ibu hamil telah memiliki motivasi untuk menjaga kebersihan gigi dan mulut.
