Abstract
Pada penelitian awal padaSDN Ellak Laok IV/02 Lenteng, Sumenep pada siswa kelas IV dan V ditemukan status kebersihan gigi dan mulut dibawah standart WHO: Siswa kelas IV dan V status kebersihan gigi dan mulutnya termasuk dalam kategori jelek, yaitu 3,16 untuk kelas IV dan 3,18 untuk kelas V. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah diketahuinya hubungan pengetahuan menyikat gigi dengan rendahnya status kebersihan gigi dan mulut siswa kelas IV dan VSDN Ellak Laok IV/02 Lenteng, Sumenep tahun 2013. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian analitik. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV dan V SDN Ellak Laok IV/02 Lenteng, Sumenep tahun 2013 yang berjumlah total 25 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan kuesioner. Data dianalisis denga uji Spearman correlation. Dari hasil data menunjukan bahwa p value < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak, yang berarti signifikan. Kesimpulannya adalah ada hubungan pengetahuan menyikat gigi dengan rendahnya status kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada siswa kelas IV dan V SDN Ellak Laok IV/02 Lenteng, Sumenep tahun 2013.
