Abstract
Peran orang tua terhadap kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak sangat penting, dimana orang tua adalah pendidik kodrati karena anak merupakan keturunan dari orang tua. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah terjadinya caries pada seluruh siswa Taman Kanak-kanak Ar-Rochman Bago Tulungagung. Berdasarkan permasalahan diatas maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan orang tua tentang penyebab karies gigi, akibat karies gigi, dan pencegahan karies gigi. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskritif dengan sasaran orang tua anak TK Ar-Rochman Bago Tulungagung sejumlah 30 orang dan dilaksanakan pada bulan September - Oktober 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan orang tua anak TK Ar-Rochman Bago Tulungagung tentang karies gigi sedang.
