Abstract
Hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan terhadap siswa TPQ Miftahul Khoir Desa Ganting, Gedangan, Sidoarjo tahun 2015 diperoleh data tentang penggunaan sikat gigi lebih dari 3 bulan yaitu 73,33%. Sehingga masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya persentase penggunaan sikat gigi tidak layak pakai pada siswa TPQ Miftahul Khoir Desa Ganting, Gedangan, Sidoarjo. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan tentang penggunaan sikat gigi tidak layak pakai pada siswa TPQ Miftahul Khoir Desa Ganting, Gedangan-Sidoarjo , yang meliputi pengertian sikat gigi tidak layak pakai, syarat sikat gigi yang baik, fungsi sikat gigi, akibat penggunaan sikat gigi tidak layak pakai. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah responden 30 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan kuesioner dan observasi. Teknik analisis data disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan di dapat kesimpulan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan siswa tentang penggunaan sikat gigi tidak layak pakai termasuk dalam kategori kurang.
