Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil survey awal yang dilakukan pada tanggal 26 November 2014 pada siswa SDLB A YPAB Surabaya diperoleh nilai OHI-S rata-rata yang masuk kategori jelek. Jika dibandingkan dengan standart kebersihan gigi yang diukur dengan nilai OHI-S adalah kategori baik (0-1,2), sedang (1,3-3,0) dan jelek (3,1-6,0). Masalah yang terdapat pada penelitian ini adalah rendahnya status kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada siswa SDLB A YPAB Suarabaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pola asuh orang tua siswa SDLB A YPAB Surabaya tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan pada responden sebanyak 27 orang tua siswa. Dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner. Dari hasil penelitian bahwa pola asuh orang tua siswa SDLB A YPAB Surabaya tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut termasuk dalam kategori kurang.
