Abstract
Status kesehatan gigi molar pertama permanen dapat diketahui melalui data awal pemeriksaan gigi pada siswa usia 8-10 tahun di SDN Banjarwungu 01 Tarik, Sidoarjo Tahun 2015 dan didapatkan data 88,5% siswa terkena karies gigi molar pertama permanen sedangkan standart yang telah ditetapkan Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia 2012, yakni bebas karies gigi molar pertama permanen sebesar 50%. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya persentase karies gigi molar permanen siswa usia 8-10 tahun di SDN Banjarwungu 01 Tarik, Sidoarjo Tahun 2015. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu tentang karies gigi molar pertama permanen siswa usia 8-10 tahun di SDN Banjarwungu 01 Tarik, Sidoarjo Tahun 2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah ibu dari siswa usia 8-10 tahun di SDN Banjarwungu 01 Tarik, Sidoarjo dengan jumlah responden 96 orang. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa pengetahuan ibu tentang karies gigi molar pertama permanen termasuk dalam kategori cukup (68%)
