Abstract
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka karies gigi pada anak kelas 1 SDN Ngetos 3 Kecamatan Ngetos Kabupaten Nganjuk. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahuinya gambaran pengetahuan orang tua tentang karies gigi. Penelitian dilakukan di SDN Ngetos 3 Kabupaten Nganjuk dan termasuk dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sasaran penelitian adalah orang tua siswa kelas I yang berjumlah 23 orang. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa keseluruhan pengetahuan orang tua tentang karies gigi, penyebab karies gigi, akibat karies gigi, cara mencegah karies gigi, dan penanganan karies gigi termasuk kategori kurang.
