Abstract
Hasil survey pendahuluan yang dilakukan pada tanggal 17 Oktober 2015 pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Surabaya, diperoleh hasil hanya 0,01% dari 50% siswa yang seharusnya melakukan penambalan gigi. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pencapaian penambalan gigi di SMP Negeri 10 Surabaya tahun 2016. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengukur motivasi siswa tentang penambalan gigi, untuk mengukur pencapaian penambalan gigi, dan menganalisis hubungan motivasi siswa dengan pencapaian penambalan gigi pada siswa SMP Negeri 10 Surabaya. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik cross sectional. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Surabaya yang terkena karies, teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu Simple Random Sampling, besar sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini yaitu 138 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk variabel pencapaian penambalan gigi yaitu lembar pemeriksaan DMF-T dan untuk variabel motivasi siswa yaitu kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik Fisher’s Exact Test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara motivasi siswa dengan pencapaian penambalan gigi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Surabaya tahun 2016.
