Abstract
Pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan. Status kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang diketahui dari hasil survey awal pada balita di posyandu Desa Watestanjung Kecamatan Wringinanom Kabupaten Gresik diperoleh rata-rata yang masuk kategori buruk. Jika dibandingkan dengan standart kesehatan gigi yang diukur dengan kategori WHO adalah kategori sangat rendah (0,0 - 1,1), rendah (1,2 - 2,6), sedang (2,7 - 4,4), tinggi (4,5 - 6,5) dan sangat tinggi (>6,6). Masalah pada penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka def-t pada balita di posyandu tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu tenang rampan karies pada balita di Posyandu Desa Watestanjung Kecamatan Wringinanom Kabupaten Gresik Tahun 2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Deskriptif yang dilakukan pada responden sebanyak 25 orang ibu dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data melalui kuisioner. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pengetahuan ibu tentang rampan karies pada balita di Posyandu desa Watestanjung Kecamatan Wringinanom Kabupaten Gresik dalam kategori sedang
