Abstract
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya karies gigi di SDN di Kecamatan Nganjuk Kabupaten Nganjuk.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengtahui peran guru UKS dalam upaya penurunan angka karies pada siswa SDN di Kecamatan Nganjuk, yang meliputi kemampuan guru dalam memberikan pendidikan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada siswa, memeriksa kesehatan gigi dan mulut secara sederhana, melakukan pembinaan pada dokter gigi kecil, melakukan rujukan pada siswa dengan keluhan penyakit gigi, membantu dan memdampingi siswa dalam sikat gigi bersama. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah sasaran 6 guru UKS di 6 SDN yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran guru UKS dalam upaya penurunan angka karies pada siswa di 6 SDN di Kecamatan Nganjuk Kabupaten Nganjuk termasuk dalam katagori kurang
