Abstract
Menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut adalah hal yang sangat penting karena merupakan pintu gerbang pertama dalam sistem pencernaan. Hal tersebut akan mempengaruhi aktifitas yang dilakukan manusia. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan pada siswa RA Hasanuddin I Dawarblandong masih banyak ditemukan rendahnya anak bebas karies yaitu sebanyak 11%. Berdasarkan data WHO untuk anak usia 5-6 tahun adalah 90% anak bebas karies. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan ibu tentang memelihara kesehatan gigi dan mulut dari siswa RA Hasanuddin I Dawarblandong. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan mengambil 56 responden (ibu dari siswa RA Hasanuddin I Dawarblandong) dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuisioner. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2018. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan ibu dari siswa RA Hasanuddin I Dawarblandong adalah kurang (53%).
