Abstract
Menurunnya kesehatan gigi dan mulut dapat mengakibatkan terganggunya fungsi pengunyahan yang disebabkan kurang berfungsinya gigi. Oleh karena itu adanya kerusakan gigi merupakan masalah yang perlu diperhatikan. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tingginya presentase karies gigi pada siswa kelas V MI Mambaul Ulum Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian diketahuinya gambaran pengetahuan siswa kelas V MI Mambaul Ulum Surabaya tentang pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Sasaran penelitian yang diambil untuk penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V MI Mambaul Ulum Surabaya dengan jumlah 50 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan perhitungan data setiap siswa secara manual selanjutnya hasil dari perhitungan dipersentasekan kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian pengetahuan siswa kelas V MI Mambaul Ulum Surabaya tentang pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut termasuk dalam kategori kurang.
