Abstract
Kesehatan gigi dan mulut adalah bagian dari kesehatan tubuh yang tidak dapat dipisahkan satu dengan yang lainnya, sebab kesehatan gigi dan mulut akan mempengaruhi kesehatan tubuh. Gigi sulung pada anak – anak mudah terjadi karies dan berjalan lebih cepat daripada gigi tetap. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya karies gigi sulung pada anak-anak. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya angka bebas karies pada siswa TK Al Irsyad Kota Surabaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini diketahuinya gambaran pengetahuan orangtua siswa TK Al Irsyad Kota Surabaya tentang Karies Gigi Sulung Tahun 2020. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dan dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2019 sampai bulan Februari 2020 dengan jumlah sasaran 72 orangtua siswa TK Al Irsyad Kota Surabaya. Metode pengumpulan data tentang gambaran pengetahuan orangtua siswa TK Al Irsyad tentang karies gigi sulung menggunakan kuesioner. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan orangtua siswa TK Al Irsyad Kota Surabaya tentang Karies Gigi Sulung termasuk dalam kategori kurang.
