Abstract
Pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan. Status kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang diketahui dari hasil survey awal pada anak usia 12-15 tahun di RS Al-Irsyad Surabaya di peroleh rata-rata yang masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Masalah pada penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka DMF-t pada anak di RS Al-Irsyad Surabaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan tentang karies gigi pada pasien anak usia 12-15 tahun di RS Al-Irsyad Surabaya Tahun 2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Deskriptif yang dilakukan pada responden sebanyak 30 orang anak dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data melalui kuisioner. Teknik Analisa data dengan menghitung rata-ratanya (mean) kemudian dipersentase dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pengetahuan tentang karies gigi pada pasien anak usia 12-15 tahun di RS Al-Irsyad Surabaya dalam kategori baik.
