Abstract
Islamawati Nabilla Prakasiwi LAMA DAYA TOLAK SERBUK KAYU MANIS (CINNAMOMUM BURMANNII) TERHADAP LALAT RUMAH (MUSCA DOMESTICA) (xiv + 70 halaman + 7 tabel + 7 gambar + 5 lampiran) Lalat rumah (Musca Domestica) merupakan salah satu vektor penular penyakit yang banyak dijumpai. Cara pengendalian lalat yang aman dan alami adalah dengan menggunakan repellent yang berasal dari bahan dasar tumbuhan. Salah satu bahan alami yang dapat berfungsi sebagai repellent yaitu kayu manis (Cinnamomum Burmannii). Kayu manis dapat djadikan repellent dikarenakan mengandung senyawa eugenol yang dapat bersifat mengusir lalat rumah (Musca Domestica). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui lama daya tolak serbuk kayu manis (Cinnamomum Burmannii) terhadap lalat rumah (Musca Domestica). Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra ekperimen dengan desain penelitian The One Shot Design. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah lalat rumah (Musca Domestica) berjumlah 375 ekor. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode simple random sampling serta menggunakan uji statistik yaitu analisis probit untuk mengetahui nilai LT (Lethal Time). Hasil penelitian diketahui jumlah lalat rumah yang tidak hinggap pada umpan setelah diberi serbuk kayu manis dengan dosis 55 gram pada jam pertama berjumlah 23 ekor, pada jam kedua hingga keempat berjumlah 24 ekor, dan pada jam kelima hingga jam ke dua belas berjumlah 25 ekor. Lama daya tolak serbuk kayu manis menunjukkan dari jam pertama jumlah lalat yang tidak hinggap pada umpan masih banyak dan seiring berjalannya waktu penelitian jumlah lalat yang tidak hinggap pada umpan semakin berkurang dan tidak ada lalat yang hinggap pada umpan mulai waktu 10 jam selama waktu pengujian selama 12 jam Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah lama daya tolak serbuk kayu manis (Cinnamomum Burmannii) terhadap lalat rumah (Musca Domestica) dengan dosis 55 gram tidak dapat bekerja secara semestinya. A safe and natural way to control flies is to use repellent that comes from plant-based ingredients. One natural ingredient that can function as a repellent is cinnamon (Cinnamomum Burmannii). Cinnamon can be used as a repellent because it contains eugenol compounds which can repel house flies (Musca Domestica). The aim of this research was to determine the repellency of cinnamon powder (Cinnamomum Burmannii) against house flies (Musca Domestica). Thistype of research is a pre-experiment with The One Shot Design research design. The samples in the research were 375 house flies (Musca Domestica). The sampling technique in this research is using a simple random sampling method and using statistical tests, namely probit analysis to determine the LT (Lethal Time) value. The results of the research showed that the number of houseflies that did not land on the bait after being given cinnamon powder at a dose of 55 grams in the first hour was 23, in the second to fourth hours there were 24, and in the fifth to the twelfth hour there were 25. The duration of repulsion of cinnamon powder shows that from the first hour the number of flies that did not land on the bait was still large and as the research progressed the number of flies that did not land on the bait decreased and there were no flies that landed on the bait starting at 10 hours during the 12 test period. The conclusion of this research is that the resistance of cinnamon powder (Cinnamomum Burmannii) to house flies (Musca Domestica) with a dose of 55 doesn’t work. Research suggestions can be carried out by increasing the dose variant of cinnamon powder, paying more attention to physical environmental measurements such as temperature, humidity and lighting and for test animals you can use other test animals.
