Abstract

Inas Nur Kharimah “FILTRASI UDARA BATU ZEOLITE UNTUK MENURUNKAN KADAR GAS CO PADA EMISI GAS BUANG KENDARAAN BERMOTOR” Xv Halaman permulaan + 62 halaman + 9 Tabel + 14 Gambar + 4 Lampiran Karbon Monoksida adalah senyawa gas tidak berwarna dan tidak berbau yang dihasilkan oleh pembakaran tidak sempurna dari bahan-bahan yang mengandung karbon atau bahan organik, baik dalam kegiatan industri maupun lingkungan. Pada penelitian ini hanya meneliti tentang ukuran batu zeolite 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, 25 mesh untuk filtrasi udara. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektifitas batu zeolite sebagai filtrasi udara menggunakan batu zeolite dengan ukuran batu 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, 25 mesh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan metode penelitian pra eksperimental dan menggunakan desain one-shoot case study. Variasi yang digunakan ukuran batu zeolite dengan ukuran 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, 25 mesh. Penelitian ini menggunakan kendaraan bermotor merk honda beat keluaran tahun 2011 dengan kilo meter 35.310 menggunakan bahan bakar pertalite. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa perlakuan filtrasi udara menggunakan batu zeolite ukuran 5 mesh memperoleh hasil 4,37%, 10 mesh 3,33%, 20 mesh 2,91, 25 mesh 2,27%. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulakan bahwa kadar gas CO emisi gas buang pada kendaraan bermotor mengalami penurunan setelah diberikan perlakuan filtrasi udara menggunakan batu zeolite dari ukuran 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, 25 mesh. Hal tersebut dikarenakan semakin kecil ukuran batu zeolite semakin kuat daya serap yang di hasilkan oleh bati zeolite. Penambahan ukuran ketebalan baru zeolite sangat diperlukan agar lebik maksimal dalam proses filtrasi. Kata kunci : pencemaran udara, karbon monoksida, batu zeolite. In this study, we have only examined the size of zeolite stone 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, and 25 mesh for air filtration. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of zeolite stones as air filtration using zeolite stones with stone sizes of 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, and 25 mesh. This type of research is descriptive with a pre-experimental research method and uses a one-shot case study design. Variations used zeolite stone size with sizes 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, 25 mesh. This study uses a motorized vehicle brand Honda beat output year 2011 with kilo meters 35,310 using pertalite fuel. This study showed that air filtration treatment using zeolite stone size 5 mesh obtained results of 4.37%, 10 mesh 3.33%, 20 mesh 2.91, and 25 mesh 2.27%. In this study, it can be concluded that the CO gas content of exhaust emissions in motorized vehicles has decreased after being given air filtration treatment using zeolite stones of sizes 5 mesh, 10 mesh, 20 mesh, and 25 mesh. This is because the smaller the size of the zeolite stone, the stronger the absorption power produced by zeolite bati. Increasing the size of the new zeolite thickness is needed to maximize the filtration process. Keywords: air pollution, carbon monoxide, zeolite stone.
